Mrs. Heyes began her career as a writer, but her path was a winding one. For over twenty years, she has spent her career witnessing and sharing stories at the end of life. This has deeply impacted her writing and her appreciation for the richness of life.

Previously her poems have been published in Quills and Ascent Aspirations magazines. Her essays have been published online with ThoughtCatalog and in One Thousand Trees. Currently she has two draft novels set for final editing, and is preparing poetry for publication.

Mrs. Heyes is a skilled facilitator who uses writing as a method of uncovering the creative potential in everyone.
